  1. This explanation is ridiculous, I know this sounds old but the US wanted to make a pipeline through Syria just to take down Russia from the oil market. Assad was against it so they supported ISIS to start a war.

  2. The United States should have left Iraq alone way back in the late 80's. Of course, with protecting our interests (i.e. Oil and other shadowy businesses) a vital necessity, we chose to show Iraq who was boss. What is happening now is a direct result of American interference in this region of the world. No easy answers to this complex and horrific situation. Maybe the third time we send troops over will be the charm.

  3. Thanks to Frontline for this piece. Sheds a lot of light on a complicated picture. Also applaud the follow up answering of questions. Opportunity for others who have insight to share as well.

  4. How the Israeli interests played into these decisions. Was the main reason for not providing or denying the Syrian rebels effective arms including air to air missiles is that these equipment may prove to be danger to Israel's security. I am sure given the nature of the NSC that Israel's interest is the driving force behind the War on Iraq and the failing to provide critical support to the Syrian rebel, with the intentions to destroy Syria from within, thus adding the destruction of another Arab countries.. this securing Israel from all sides.

  5. I believe the money trail goes much deeper than what Frontline is saying here. However the well of money is so deep and so protected it may never make any kind of news. I do applaud Frontline for making the effort.

  6. Wonder why the US didn't think more outside the box and realize how slick ISIS is and how popular with young Muslims who feel disenfranchised by their own governments.

Governments by the way who have received billions in American aid and money which was supposed to go to help the poor in these countries, but instead has gone to line the pockets of a few wealthy families.
