It doesn't bother me but since you're this concern about it, it might bother you.
I picked this up a couple weeks ago, and while I figured it would be, it's not as reflective as you'd think. Most of the time, it's only a little more visible than the front-facing camera, and while playing games, reading, watching video, etc, it really doesn't distract. In fact, a lot of the time I forget it's even there.
One thing to note is that the update to 4.2.2 did away with the tablet style status bar in favour of the smartphone-style UI, with status on top and soft buttons on bottom.
can anyone who has this tablet answer my question:
Does the SONY logo on top left bother you at all in normal use? or especially while watching a movie?
from a few youtube videos it looks like the most annoying thing there and perhaps a deal breaker?

Just got this tablet. I find it to be too plastic. The edges are also kinda sharp and dog into your hands. If it's very very light. Only had this for a couple days so far, not sure how i like it. It has its advantages. Makes my N10 feel heavy.

I got the black 32GB and its my first android device! It's really amazing and the matted backing feels realllly good. Colors are truly amazing too.

I am currently watching this review with my new xperia tablet z and I must say that this was huge positive surprise for me. Screen is better than I expected and also the speakers are surprisingly good. And my phone is HTC one so I do know what is a great mobile speaker.
