19. I agree to a point but this might help others to extend the passion of a car.ond of my Hot rods ive had for 29 years. Biggest thing is to always keep it budget oriented. I street/strip drive it . Build a engine race it a bit to make sure its all good then sell engine for a profit. Repeat. If a guy keeps a tight budget on racing there's always something fun to do. Looking for parts at swap meets. Learning new skills. Trading parts. One year i may put 15's with slicks and skinnies. Year after street 18's for cruzing and burnouts. Working on them is definitely a big enjoyment. Keeping the budget tight and always changing it up really helps to enjoy it for many more years. Nothing wrong with building a car and selling it as well. As long as it's built on a specific budget so a guy is making money or at least breaking even. Then onto the next project. Just no point doing big dollar engines and big dollar parts when selling a car since most of that can be easily lost. Pulling a engine detailing it up just cost time. May not look any different than a 25k engine.
