  1. I'm glad I waited for the DVD. I hate I wasted 90 mins of my life looking at this foolery. Yes, 90 mins… I couldn't bear watching the the whole thing. The whole thing was so obvious what was about to happen. Not sure which was worse, this or Prometheus…
All I got to say is stop, just stop. There are some things better left alone. And the last 2 movies are destroying the Alien franchise.
Now, I have to go and watch Alien and Aliens to scrub my memory of this pathetic farce. I need Ripley, Hudson and Hicks to remind me why I enjoy Alien, the 1st 3 primarily… but I can stomach the 4th one.

  2. Always feelings will get you killed….its so stupid that "bright" minds would do such a thing. I mean, exploring with out quarentine suits and first sending troops to invest and unknown planet which they didnt saw before…. so many stupid things….it doesnt make sense….but we wouldnt have this film if it DID make sense…..

  3. I got it…! Its not the main or parental planet, it like our greens… P.s. main planet should look like biomechanical symbiosis, it logically come out from previous … And those landers, whyyy, whyyy only one? There 2000 people, how do they gona get down? By 10 people per landing??? Wtf?… Even Nostromo had 2 landers, i remind there was only 10 people… so stupid….

  4. Just saw the movie, and… after such a fine film Prometheus is, they give people such a crap. Film about nothing. You can watch cool graphics, at least — you may think — but you will be amazed how bad todays graphic is for that poor alien. Women slipping on blood, and destroying accidentally whole shuttle — that's dev's good joke for public. And that is what that movie is about — a joke. So go to cinema. Thank You. (To be fair — i have 17 minutes of this film left. But can't bear that nonsense anymore)…

  5. Although Covenant was not the best Alien film, I still enjoyed it. It's sad however that the franchise is not doing so well. But what if…just what if Neill Blomkamp is given the opportunity to make his Alien movie and actually save the franchise? That would be spectacular!

  6. I just got done watching this movie today, bought it at Target for $14.99!  My expectations proceeded me, based on trailers I had watched which gave me the impression that this movie was going to be within the timeframe of Ripley being in space for 70 years before she was rescued and the events of Aliens soon followed.  When Van Buren said, "No need to, there's been colonists there for over 70 years and they've never complained of any hostile organism!  What you call a Shake N' Bake Colony!"

I got more excited when I saw the Derelict ship which let me to further believe that this was Hadley's Hope, and I was expecting to hear the story of all the colonists landing setting up the base, then Newt's dad because the 2nd to discover the Derelict, the first being Cain, from the prior Nostromo expedition.  Newt's dad got hold of a facehugger and his wife haulted him back to Hadley's hope which is when the undocumented slaughter took place, with only Newt remaining…

What a sad disappointment this movie was, just more fancy keyword bantering of the Elite who can't get over themselves; David the renegade self-appointed artificially intelligent messiah to an empty world, and the movie doesn't explain how the android switch at the end occurred, when the good robot was winning, how did David manage to get the upper hand and deceive the crew so quickly.   Another thing… How does a robot's hair grow if it's not even real hair; Referring to that scene where David is cutting his hair!  This movie was just full of meme's from other Alien Franchise horror films.  The Alien deserved a better retirement than crappy "Alien Isolation" gameplay… It deserves it's own sandbox world!.

I can see where Blade Runner can easily fit into this film's lore, and as well "The Thing" by John Carpenter, but Space Lizards with hunting addictions, I just never felt it!   I still want the story of the colonists, if this film didn't totally ruin the possibility!

  7. Please put Neil Blomkamps alien V back in production this is what fans want to see and let him do what he wants to do with it bring back Sigourney Weaver and Michael Beihn and don't let the mouse get involved do not PC… But if you have to make it PC make a and not just because she of certain ethnicity
