25. We continue to increase minimum wage, only for the cost of living to appreciate, decreasing the value of a dollar. They give with one hand & take with the other, so difficult for ppl to pull ahead after falling behind. Esp in states like mine, Michigan doesn't really have public transportation. Auto insurance costs a fortune & of course, we need full coverage if we have a lien on, or leasing, a vehicle. Otherwise, driving something paid off & in most cases an older vehicle, with issues. Auto repairs are such a ripoff, because it's such a dirty business, that takes advantage of ppl. It's too bad there isn't added auto ins to cover things like repairs, new tires every so often, etc… ppl have to have a vehicle in order to work/ get by, esp throughout the cold months, but you can't really buy a vehicle unless you're working, it's a catch 22, like so many other things. In general, it seems the poor are deliberately kept down. Ppl who are unemployed living off government benefits are doing better than those in the lower income bracket, who have to pay for everything out of pocket, feeling penalized for working/ trying
