We Rebuilt the 5000HP HEMI… and Took It STRAIGHT to the Track! 💥
This ProMod is a blast—but first, we had to give the 5000 horsepower HEMI some much-needed love. After a full rebuild, we loaded up and headed to Flyin’ H Drag Strip in Odessa, Missouri to race in the $20K-to-win ProMod class at the Midwest Drag Racing Series.
Right off the trailer, the car was ripping. We snagged the #1 qualifying spot in the first round, slipped to #3 after Q2, and then took solid wins in both Round 1 and Round 2. We were ready for the semis… until the race got shut down due to a local curfew. 😑
Still, this one had it all—elbows-deep engine work, hard launches, and some of the best passes we’ve made all year.
