10-Second LEAD SLED @ Street Car Takeover!

It takes a ton of power to push a heavy, steel pickup down the road / track, and this truck definitely has it! Watch this heavy pickup flying down the track and denoting at Midwest Street Cars (Street Outlaws Dyno & Shop) at Street Car Takeover Oklahoma City and Kansas City 2014

  1. I'm .20 seconds in to the video and 1320 Video let me say thank you for having a C-10. My dad had a white C-10 with a 400 small block out of an impala eith a turbo 350 trans that my damn mom could get in an outrun 5.0 foxes until the truck run out of gear when the fox would hit 5th. The truck was an everyday driver too btw and this was back in the 9p's when I was a kid. The truck was white too btw so I love seeing this white 80's model squarebody. Brings back some memories.

  2. That truck isn't close to any 4700 lbs. Why do people lie about this stuff when we know they are? That truck didn't weigh 4700 when it was brand new with 2 people in it. I'd be surprised if it's over 3500lbs.

  3. hey love this video,i have a 1985 pickup would love to do that to it.would love to get info on the headers and turbo setup and how he did it.tuneup and all.great truck.does he have a way i can talk to him.or send me a pm to me?if so let me know at james.d.bowen63@gmail.com thanks

  4. I have a similar build going on same motor, turbo forged internals but im using lsx ecu and coil over plug on my sbc.
    The LEAD SLED Looks sweet!!

  5. Mad respect for this guy building a eBay set up to go out and havin some fun! …. Fk me chief and Shawn are hilarious "have you ever thought about a bigger down pipe?"

  6. The body is great on that truck. Nice and clean. Those old GM trucks are going crazy in price up here in the northeast, and they all have rust.

  7. I honestly can't see that short box weighing 4700lbs, pretty sure he made a mistake or never had it on the scales. Truck looks pretty basic and not much for a roll bar, my 1971 long box, mild steel 8 point roll bar with back bars all steel was only 4000 with stock front suspension and inner fenders full exhaust street legal. Now with a IFS front, no exhaust or inners is at 3700 still all steel, chrome bumpers and chrome trim, box cover.

  8. Nice truck, I'm building a SBC but trying to decide to go with 8-71 blower or go twin turbo. I want to go turbo but don't have allot of knowledge when it comes to the turbo's and blow through carb. If anybody can explain how to tune the carb with the turbo.
