WFAN11 – World Fuel Altered Nationals 2011

The 2011 World Fuel Altered Nationals in Eddyville, Iowa was yet again another successful annual event with organizer Scott Gaulter (owner of the Nitro Madness machine) doing an amazing job once again. I bring some of the craziest fuel altereds in the Midwest to the event, including Nitro Madness, Sundown, Harold Thompson Jr, Purple Haze, Cheaper Than Therapy, and Sudden Debt!

  1. My dad is the owner and driver of the heatseeker AA/FA. We want to come to the WFAN but we would be racing a bunch of alcohol cars. Alcohol cars cost half as much to run as nitro so the money just woudnt make any sense.

  2. Pretty cool, to bad it's only 1/8 mile. They don't seem as nasty and over powered like in the old days, which was awesome by the way. Barely stay on the track, a real handful but cool as hell. Outlawed for awhile.

  3. Fuel altered racing is my favorite. They're fast, but not so fast that 1/4 mile is up in 4 seconds, and usually when they have them come out to our local track for a main event, they run to the 1000 ft mark. 200+ on our little bitty track is awesome.

  4. They stop about 1/4 mile past the finish line at the end, then they have a support vehicle (SUV, or golf cart usually) haul them back to their trailer where they re-pack their chutes, check the motor / repair broken parts, and get ready for the next round.
