  2. The Mr. Rogers of the Red Tractor universe. What an invaluable source of knowledge for the tractor community. He seems like such a good-natured, all around nice guy! He is the kind of man we all hope for in a father-in-law. Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge with all of us and your videos are always done professionally and never contain profanity.
Thank You again, you are truly appreciated! Jim (Dahlonega, Ga.)

  3. This video has helped me a lot on figuring out my issue on my 1086. My question is did you reuse your old pin or did you buy a new one? If you bought a new one do you happen to have the part number for the pin? 23:18

  4. I really love to watch your videos. You have a great common sense approach to everything. You are an inspiration to me and I am sure many others. Keep up,the great work!

  5. Pete, hi. Love your YouTube vids. Thank you very much for all the time and effort you put into them. I really like the drone pics and, of course, anything with animals. Q: You seem to be as much of a mechanic and electrician as a farmer; maybe more in total. I get that a farmer has to fix a lot of things themselves: time is money and money is money. Some things you do are fairly simple, but some are very complex. Do all the farmers you know do the same type of repairs as you do? Can someone make a loving farming if they are not as much of a mechanic as you are? Does someone have to know how to break-down a Farmall to the last O-ring? You obviously learned a lot from your Grandfather and Father at a young age. How does someone who is 60 get into the biz? I don't know a banjo bolt form a saxophone bolt. 🙂🙂Learning how to farm seems like a lot to learn, excluding all the side jobs. What's the minimum mechanic/electrician requirement to make a living farming? Thank you very much, Kim

  6. This seems very complicated but I think I understand more than I did, which means that your explanation at least helped some. Sorry, but as I get older it takes more to make me understand things. Like way back in high school (the 60's) I had a horrible time understanding electricity. Didn't realize that electrons were not used up but continued to travel through a circuit or resister. Once the teacher finally got it into my head, things went much better. Oh well.
This is a dumb question, but could you add the fluid gasket material you used on the super C for the gasket areas you thought needed better reinforcement? Would it screw up the spacing or could it be of use to increase the strength of the gasket? Like I said, this probably is a dumb question. Just curious.

  7. I don't have a farm, I don't have any tractors, and I am not a mechanic, but it feels therapeutic to hear you explain the "what and how" as you restore and upkeep your tractors. Thanks for not sending me a bill for your services. LOL

  8. Excellent video Pete 🙂 yes take skills to for sure and that lots fun to do agree! Keep up your super work to and look forward to seeing you have up working also test drive to ! Your videos always helpfull too !

  9. I know it works, but my goodness that sure seems like a complicated way to do it. No, I don't know of another way, I get the Heebie-Jeebies when things are reliant on so many other things being just right. Perhaps my patience isn't as long as yours.

  10. Yeah good job there Pete they are a royal pain in the ass but the transmissions are kind of the same way and once you get familiar with them it's it's better but the first one or two are really a buger that practice makes perfect. oh you'll have to go overhaul all the neighbors mc seew units when you get done oh and become the international master mechanic at MCV's
