  2. Good advice on the clutch. The only thing I would add is check the flywheel and make sure it is true. A wavy flywheel will wear out a new clutch pretty fast.

  3. Scotty, I started using synthetic oil in my 2013 Ford F150 with 33,000 miles on it. Changing from standard oil to synthetic, should I stay with the viscosity?

  4. bad advise on the jeep xj, get the header, all aftermarket are larger and better. Stock cracks and so do the aftermarket ones, just how it is. the xj is old enough it will respond fine with more flow. people put the 99 intake on older years to get more power without tune with full exhaust and they get all the same power the intake came off of. in other words the jeep xj will adjust for anything, even add dodge neon or Ford mustang injectors fine and gain power, no engine lights

  5. Way to put water based paints to shame. I've worked with them nothing wrong with em after 20 years now just about since Canada mandated to only use water base in around 06/8 (not 100% sure, I got out of the autobody business).

  6. Hey Scotty got a 2014 Altima SV with 49,000 miles on it that had the Tranny 'Reprogrammed' like you talked about with the F-150 in this video. Have you heard anything hopeful that this actually helps their tin can transmissions or am I still screwed? 😛

  7. Mr Kilmer. I just inherited a 2003 Subaru Impreza from my mum. She never took decent care of it, it has 340,000km on it. And it needs new CV half shafts and joints, Upper and lower tie rods, new disc's, breaks, wheel bearings, and ball joints. Atleast thats what I've found so far. What I want to know is whether you think its worth it to repair this car, I dont know subaru's. It might have another 200,000km of life on this car, or maybe another 500. I could just use it as a beater car, or treat it a bit better and give it to my brother when I get a new truck in a few years.

  8. Scotty I have a 04 mustang when I start it, it makes a ticking sound. After, it runs for a moment or two the sound goes away do you know why?

  9. Looking at purchasing a 06-08 Honda Pilot. I know they have a problem with burning oil, do you know if it is bad rings or just the PCV valve? Thanks in advance!

  10. Scotty, I left my bike(f800gs) sitting for about two months under a cover with half a tank of gas. I started it up and rode it for about two hours without any problems yesterday. Could there be any consequences of leaving a bike sitting for such a long period of time?

  11. Ohh! The shifting program has been irking me bad in my 2018 F150. I was unaware that some intellegent folks have come up with new programming. Its painfully evident that college interns were responsible for the set up that I got.
    Thanks sir.

  12. When I think of a 10 speed transmission..I think of a manual Air Shift 10 Speed Road Ranger. Or a 10 speed Mack Transmission (2 stick duplex or Air Shift). Not an Automatic in Car or Pick up. Mack

  13. Cars can trucks can be repainted at home with near professional quality and paint is not critical for any rig. People always paint their cars weird back in the 1970s anyway, who cares about paint. Easy to change or customize and I prefer green paint, which is rare today. GM, Ford, and Chrysler, I prefer green paint and paint selection today sucks anyway in all brand. They don't like green! Paint is easy to fix at home! Near professional or professional grade!

  14. YES …That clear coat shows the quality of GM !!! It is just GARBAGE these days …. True …..However ….my last GM was in 1996 and it was garbage also … before I switched to Honda .

  15. 2018 true 5.0 dual injected Coyote is the boss. Sorry 5.3 and 5.7, 30 yo tech now is really just, 30 yo. Welcome to the dust cloud y'all are still trying find your way out of.
