  1. Gotta love it watch someone pull one out of the bushes. Looks like it hasn’t seen a garage once in its life starts on one pull, I have one that I know for a fact has never left this garage and I can’t get it to start to save my life.

  2. You were talking about the ice storm of 2007. I was there for that! Wow that's the most intense thing I've ever been through. Some 20 thousand homes had no power around Christmas. I will never forget that.

  3. 1500 watt, might power a hairdryer, I too am hooked on your channel. Since watching you, I did get inspired to get out a 65 year old Moped that I had lost hope on a few years ago, but thanks to you I got it running and even rode it, keep the videos coming…happy wrenching

  4. Back in the day when I lived in California, we had power going out all the time. I bought a 20kW diesel generator for $150. A wealthy guyhad it and the run solenoid burnt out twice so he said to one of his helpers to get rid of it so that's what he did. It used about 1/2 gallon an hour. Had many years of good service. When we moved here I had no room for it so I had it under a tarp. One day I was using an extension cord and when I was done I threw it over the tarp to keep it off the ground. A few days later at some point I noticed the tarp was gone. At first I thought it had blown off but then I realized the whole generator was black. The extension cord had shorted out and burnt everything down. The generator had been so hot the aluminum timing cover melted. Now I had a predator inverter generator which seems to do a good job. One of my projects is to build a utility shed and I want to put an inverter with batteries and solar in there, and I have one of those 1 cylinder 600 rpm lister engines that should give me really good fuel economy. For most uses those little generators are good though. I bought a 900W 2 cycle gas generator for $160 and it does quite well actually.

  5. In case you haven't figured it out yet. I may be wrong but it appeared that a couple of times when you started it using the remote, you clicked on the off button once and the start button twice rapidly and it started. I enjoy your channel very much. I've learned a lot for you. Thanks very much.

  6. That's what I dislike about inverters, they create a square wave. Most frequency meters can't handle that, they are designed for sine waves, like your utility power. The more expensive generators will create a
"modified sine wave wave", which can work almost as well as a true sine wave, but is still prone to create RF noise. Also, square waves don't work well at all on many variable-speed tools.
