Taking it WAY back to the early days of HeyYoSteve’s Chittown’s King of the STREETS III event before it was held at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, WI. KOTS has been one of our favorite events since we started cover it way back when, from the moment the first car went down the track, we were HOOKED! KOTS has grown to evolve into an ever larger and MUCH more competitive event over the years with LOTS more money on the line! This event is not for the faint of heart, as it is guaranteed to bring out your inner hustler!
“The third annual King of the Streets was just as exciting and unpredictable as the previous years’ events. With high 7-second and low 8-second cars showing up you would think you could pick the winner. However with the un-prepped track and no testing, the outcome of many of the races proved to be unexpected and shocking! A 23-car field, including plenty of crazy turbo cars and wheelie-pulling nitrous cars, made for quite the show!
The cash pot size hasn’t changed; an impressive $3,000 for the runner-up and $10,000 for the winner. The battle was fierce this year. The winner of the event didn’t have a race he won by less than a car-length or two! With four different camera angles (Starting line, finish line, in car, and from the stands) included in this DVD, you won’t miss a minute of the action!”

sorry my friend but no prep was started in Albuquerque back in the 30s by my great grandpa Carmine lucchese the 1 back in those days he race his 32 bucket at the drag strip him and Herman monster

Maybe Chicago? Back in the mid 70's we had a place between Irving and Dallas Texas that was called Nature Trails. We raced there on a regular basis. But there were some nights there were full out bad ass trailered race cars there. My buddies and I had low class race cars. Not fancy or too built, we just loved to race. 67 mustang, 69 chevelle, 70 road runner, 74 challenger, and a duster.

That's what we did in 2000 when Dallas was invading Houston racing on Rankin rd. When the cops shut that down the owner of Navasota dragway (outlaw track) opened up just for us and were started running there instead on an unprepped track.
