2,000hp ROAD TRIP (1,000 Miles – NO Trailer!)

Driving over 2,000 miles from Wembley, Alberta (in Western Canada) just to compete in Drag Week 2017 (where you have to drive another 1,000 miles in your racecar) is a sign of more than just sheer dedication! Several years ago when our new friend Patrick Myker came across a magazine with articles over previous Drag Weeks, he was inspired by one man, Larry Larson! In the years since, Patrick has been taking his vision of a Drag Week build through several reincarnations in order to get to the final product he came to compete this year with! This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle is a stunning display of hard work as it commands your attention in so many ways! This was Patrick’s first time ever even attending Drag Week and though it was much more rocky that expected, he is still excited to come back and compete again!

  1. Lol, can't do this in the UK! We've only got one decent dragstrip left as far as I know, to experience a similar thing over here, I'd have to drive to Santa Pod and back each day of a weekend meet, lol, only around 100miles each way from where I am, and the cost in fuel over here would be limiting at less than 7mpg, but at least our 'ditchwater' is 95 octane and we get 99 from super unleaded! I'd love to bring my race car back to where it belongs and do the above…. maybe I will some day…

  2. I freaking LOVE 1967 Chevelle Malibu SS! One of my favorite muscle cars and one i owned and hobbied for about 4 years. Until it had to go for a home purchase. Love the way they look and drive. The way they accept a big big block. A bit more attainable than a Hemi car. Even if just gathering parts to clone one.

  3. I so enjoy your vids and like that guy lived his dream just to participate. Maybe one day I can meet and see you at little track like US41 in In. or maybe US 66 in my state of Il. One day? ??

  4. must cost a fortune driving a drag car around town, are those cars even allowed to be on the street? Where I am from they would be stopped in a second (if they could catch them lol)

  5. Props to everybody in this video, well done gents! Hope to see that bad chevelle at the bc tracks in '18

  6. Great man, good story! He's so polite, it's amazing he didn't punch you in the nose for pestering him all that week, especially when he was so crunched for time.
