3. Who would have ever thought it? I am Alex's father and I feel it's time I set the record straight. I don't normally talk about who I am or much about my personal life and I think that's the way it should be. But with this sudden popularity of My daughter Alex and her Camaro I feel it's time. It seems some people out there are saying some very rude and hateful things about Alex and even though I don't read the comments others close to me do and it bothers some. First, We had nothing to do with the 1320 or Hot Rod Videos they were a complete surprise to Alex and her mother while they were on Drag Week. She had zero time to prepare for them, If you think that when you were 16 you could have done better you must be very impressed with yourself. She did the best she could under the circumstance. Alex has wanted to do Drag Week since she was 10, I traded a car that I built for the Pro Rides Camaro that won unlimited class in 07. Alex fell in love with that car and helped me race it for a couple years. Now for the shocker! I had to sell that Camaro for financial reasons. in other words we needed the money. She was heart broken!!!
    I knew that when she turned 16 we would have to get her something to drive, Now for another shocker to the haters, I also knew that because I can do everything when it comes to building a car, Chassis fab, engine building, transmission building, body paint, interior, wiring etc. I could build her something to drive for less than a lot of people pay for their Kids first car and she would be able to do what she wanted to so bad, "Drag Week" and she would have something to keep for the rest of her life that she and her parents built. Unlike buying a car that only loses money as soon as you drive it off the lot.

   I grew up in the 70s-80s and I drove and built my cars which were a 72 Nova (which I still have) 69 Chevelle, 67 Nova, 55 Chevy, VW etc. With the way things are today a kid doesn't have an opportunity to experience this and I wanted to give my daughter the chance. So when Alex turned 14 her mother and I discussed it and her mom gave Alex her 68 Camaro that I had bought from a friend for her, but because it needed a complete rebuild my wife never got to drive it very many times before we just parked it until we had the time and money to redo it. Now as far as Alex being a spoiled rich kid, nothing can be further from the truth!!! We do without many things so we can Drag Race. Alex is the top student in her class and ranks in the 99 percentile in the NATION!!! she works Very hard to get these grades and I respect her for it more than most people will ever know. When we made the decision to give her the car it was with the agreement that she had to do the work on it! She had no problem with that and in fact wanted to do it. Of course she could not pay for it like I understand some haters out there have a problem with. How can anyone expect a 16 year old to be able to pay for anything ??? That just blows my mind that someone could be so silly to even suggest it. But most of the parts for the rebuild that I did not already have at my shop were either birthday or Christmas presents. On her 15th birthday she got the paint for the car and that's it ! How many girls do you know that would be ok with that? If she was spoiled I would have bought a car and handed it to her and it would have ran faster than 11s. From 15 to 16 she worked at my shop every weekend and school break, she quit sports and we did nothing as a family except work on this Camaro! She did everything she could and that includes learning to weld, paint, sand blast she even rebuilt every part of the dash including rebuilding the instrument cluster herself. The people out there that say she didn't build her car have no idea what they are talking about. I know of many grown people that didn't do as much work on their car as Alex did.

   We finished the car the night before we left for Drag Week and it was just her and her mother doing this. She turned 16 2 months before and had never driven a car down the track . When we left she had only been to two test and tunes with the car and we had to work bugs out most of the night. So anyone that says anything about 11s needs to think about what you say. The first day she only ran in the 12s because the transmission would not shift right, I wasn't allowed to work on the car and she did the best she could to make it work! By the third day (which I was not there for because I left and went home after the first day) She took the ratchet shifter apart and sprayed white grease all over the moving parts and got it to work for the rest of the week. Then she turned her attention to tuning her Holley ECU. I let her make her own program from the beginning because I knew she had to know how to do it as I would not be there to help. She tuned all week and by the 4th day she had it running in the 11s!! She did this herself!! I could go on and on but it wont change anything, Haters will still hate and jealous people will never understand. We can prove anything and apologize for nothing, We did not set out to make anyone mad or hurt anyone's feelings, we just did what we wanted to and any of you would do the same if you could. Every thing I own is from building cars, That is all I know how to do and I do it 7 days a week and have for 30+ years and Alex has a very bright future in Racing and we will continue to help her. Her school has worked with her and let her off for both Drag Week and the PRI show where she met up with many friends from DW and made many new contacts and she will be going to Holley for Fuel Injection school in a couple weeks. This is because she has the best grades in her class and is able to do all this racing stuff and still maintain her school work!! I really wish the haters would use their time to achieve something in life rather than spew hate and we thank all of you people that support her and stand up to the few haters. 6. damn, i wish my wife cared about cars like that. i cant even get her to drive my 96 camaro and she bitches about it when she rides in it. too bad im going to drive it, your going to ride in it and keep your damn mouth shut lol. wish i could have found a woman like this girl but they are extraordinarily rare and get taken fast. most car guys drool at a woman like this. pretty, smart, and not afraid to get dirty or work on a car. not only work on a car but build a bad ass car.

9. For those of you saying she's yelling, maybe try turning down the volume on your damn computer or phone! Did you ever think that it's not her and it's you? Cuz, she's not yelling. And the reason she's probably talking so fast is she's probably nervous. I mean, how often do you have cameras following you around constantly and you have to be on point and say what you want to say in a short amount of time without stammering? Cut the girl some slack, some of you guys are such critics and a lot of you are just disgusting dickheads.

19. Uhh what? Way to exaggerate. I live my summers at Bandimere and Pueblo Motorsports park. It's about an hour drive from Greeley, CO to Morrison (Bandimere) and it's a 2 hour drive from Morrison to Pueblo. Maybe 120-130 miles at most.

20. I don't know why you guys are so whipped about this little girl. She isn't that hot and most likely doesn't know a whole lot about her car. Yet alone do any work on it herself.
