  1. I don't know if you read comments from old videos but separating that roof rail shown at 17:31 a Dremel Multi tool with the flat oscillating blade on it came to mind. Something to keep in mind in the future

  3. You know what I Love about this series? You don't have $100,000 milling machines that you're working with, just assuming of course that everyone has one. You're using the exact same tools from Harbor Freight that are in my workshop.

  4. are you sure those small tiny roof supports structurally important at all? i thought they would be bigger if they actually had a purpose (other than supporting the roof)

  5. You could use a heat gun and the roof would come of easy. I had same glue used in my gtr's tail light units. Was not coming off without heat.

  6. 9 videos in, too late to go to sleep for school, didn't even have to wankel to get enough combustion pressure for the blow by to explode out the exhaust. Subbed

  7. when you were trying to seperate parts from the car that were attatched by resin, you could've closed the string (tie both ends to eachother so it forms an "O") then got a drill or something and used that to turn the string. i hope this helps!

  8. When you cut fibreglass you should cover your skin with talcum powder it stops the fibreglass getting into your skin and you don't get that irritation and itch.

I do fiberglass work and some nice pro tips to help you with the itching, baby powder yourself before sanding, helps prevent itching, do not scratch or touch where fiberglass is on you just use compressed air to blow it off, and last if you are itching after you have blown off and then washed the area some bug itchy pads work wonders with the itching.

  10. +Bisforbuild Next time a piece of steel (screw, drillbit, tap, etc.) brakes off in an aluminum piece you can dissolve it out using ALUM, like the stuff you use to make pickles. It's slower than drilling, but it won't hurt the aluminum and can leave threads in great shape.

  13. If you are already investing so much time, why rebuild it back to stock? You also can save lots of money by ditching the roof, DO AN EXPOSED ROLLCAGE LIKE MADMIKES RADBUL MX5 !! Who drives a Lotus in the rain anyways? Also if you do Fiberglass work yourself (you should) you can use carbon fiber as well, same process and still relatively cheap. Great Build/ Videos btw.
