David Mazzei’s 4-Rotor RX7 is a literal work of art, from front to back and top to bottom! Taking a Wankel powered Mazda to a new tier, David and his love for rotary engines lead to the creation of this MAD 4-Rotor, 26B, powered 1993 Mazda RX-7. Through David’s passion and vision, he’s manage to pull to fruition what many Mazda RX-7 owners have been able to dream of. This is one of SEMA 2018’s best builds in our book and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to interact with David as he humbly gave us the Ultimate break down of his build.

  1. Im so glad 1320 got to see this legendary car. David Mozzei, a pure car enthusiast has the best and most unique rx7 to date. Best car on the net.!

  2. Why the open wastegate dumps on the hood, and exhaust dump on the fender, and regular exhaust out the back?
what am i missing here? a flap with actuator for open fender exhaust for high hp mode with a "quiet" exhaust in the back for when quiet mode (lol) is needed?

  3. So wait… Why didn't they want to move the engine back? Is it just that much more work? Seems like the alternative was just as much and you don't have the benefit of having the engine sit further back which is always better for weight distribution.

  4. The more i see Rotarys the more i wanna go down that route..but im seeing that rotarys are expensive yet simple..was thinking about a 3 Rotor in a civic hatch converted rwd would be light and put down good power…If u do a Civic coupe you could go widebody with angle and DRIFTTTT!!!!!!
