Dora the Explorer – Day 2 Hydro E-Brake & Budget Lowering

In this episode we lower the car 3 inches in the rear and a few inches in the front, and then I struggle my ass off installing a hydro e-brake.

  1. I have a 98 Ford explorer sport, am really thinking of putting a stroked 302 in it, your vids have REALLY got me thinking lol

  2. Since you have it hoisted on a lift, have you thought about a rust treatment with sand, brush rust remove, air compressor to dust off, rustoleum remove treat meat spray and undercoat paint?

  3. Never in my life have I seen a mono leaf….i know Ford is junk but are they that cheap to just put 1 single leaf on each side as suspension. To hell with that Ford trash. Good luck tho. Gonna have some good laughs out of that project but it won't last long I guarantee it.

  4. Lowering a car actually never improves your roll center as you want the roll center higher (close to the CG) and most suspension geometries will have a lowered roll center when you lower the ride height.

  5. You and Tavarish should create a separate channel together, quicker turn over on each car that you get from copart and potentially more cars for both of u

  6. From experience lowering Rangers with that same suspension, if you want it lower, take the adjusters off the end of the torsion bar and index it to the next position on the bar and use the bolt to get it exactly where you want it. If that's too low, they do sell other keys (usually for lifting the front end, but they work for lowering as well since the index is different. Also flipping the stock keys could work as well. Just some advice. Keep it up.

  7. What is the name of that first song? It's a remix of a song I used to listen to as a kid but I can't for the life of me remember. The song playing as you first messed with the seat…

  8. There is leaving a bit of slack and there is leaving a bit too much slack. In our rally car the hydraulic handbrake was turned on its axis towards the driver making it so much easier to use….

  9. Cheap ebrakes work just as good as any just swap in new willwood hydro reservoir there like 40 bucks also that enjunku ebrake is Chinese/ebay lol had that one as my first

  10. you have tow have them bolts in the tor. bar i put them back in just do not have to be tight
because they help hold the key in if if would come apart you could have a chance of the tor. bar come out or just one then it would drop 1 side even more and could send you right or left
if it was me just put it the bolt in but not tight to keep in save
but look like you all will have fun with what you all are doing with it
    good video

  11. You don’t have the good fitting for the hydro master cylinder! It is an NPT cone shaped _/ and ur fitting is a normal |_| brake fitting! Cmon!!

  12. Hey I just want to make a suggestion hope you hear me out on this, it’s a cheap car already and you are lookin to get the best performance out of it. Why not reduce weight? Think about making it a UTE!! Chop it behind the B pillar and run it all the way back. Hope you read this!

  13. Chris, you should get on Rob ferreti's new Race. It would be a nice showcase for your builds. Take the beautiful Aston.

  14. Pro tip about buying a good quality e brake is under rated. Or if your car has a good hand brake keep that in durr, with some good pads and healthy rotors
