Fuel Cell Is Done! Starting Mounting The Radiator In The 240Z

In todays episode we weld two custom built flanges onto the fuel cell so we can properly mount our fuel pump and filter. After that we move onto mounting the radiator and figuring out oil filter placement.

  1. God Chris! I'm hooked to your channel😵… I haven't slept properly in two days.. I keep watching your exciting work of art machinery.. Dude you are so amazing 🙂👍

  2. To start I want to say! “Awesome!” For taking on such a large Built not Bought project.

One mans opinion though, with as much work as you are putting into it, you might as well do a custom dash or cut the one you have and shorten it. After all, why do that much work if you have to convince yourself that something will be “okay.”

Anyways! Super awesome work man! Look forward to seeing the finished product.

  3. I don’t know if those filters stock have a untidrain valve…is not the oil will drain every time and might take some more milliseconds to get to optimal oil pressure…

  4. Unusual to see a fuel tank designed with no apparent Baffles to stop fuel starvation in the pumps under braking / acceleration, I looked at the comments in case somebody else had noticed this omission. You need separation barriers in the tank which will reduce fuel slap and air entering the fuel lines/ pump starvation, but alas I see none. If you can find a fuel resistant open cell foam, which will not degrade into the fuel over time, this might save taking the tank apart again to install baffles.

  5. How are you going to tackle all of the electrical components of the car? I assume that you dont want a tone of warnings in the iDrive system or the dashboard.
The E60 M5 has alot of onboard computers controlling lights, ABS/DSC, DME and so on

  6. i'm no expert but i'm pretty sure your ECU will get kindda pissed off if you delete the EGR system, and i know that when the egr system fails the check engine light comes on, or the car might have its own light for the egr system 🙂

  7. I would do an oil cooler delete and add one later if you think you need it. You can relocate the oil filter to wherever you want if you simply extend those lines.

  8. For all the tiny minor cuts you are doing with metal you should pick up a dremel. A nice one is $100 at the most, just don't forget to buy extra metal cutting wheels because they break pretty easy.

  9. Even tho when it was positioned downwards the oil use to flow down and into the ⬇️ and then flowing up and out of the filter so either ways its ok to flip it but your going to have some issues with changing the oil.
