It's just a matter of time, once someone comes out with a car that can go 600 miles on a charge, and can be charged from dead to full in about 2.5 hours, and not cost an arm and a leg, good bye ICE. The new Tesla Roadster claims to be able to go 600 miles on a charge, don't know how long it takes to charge though, of course it costs $200K.. At a 60 mph average speed that's roughly 10 hours of driving, depending on conditions. That's more than enough for daily commuting or running around your local area, and how many people aren't ready for a break after 10 hours of driving on a long trip?
     
    Instead of hating on electric vehicles, people should be more concerned about self driving ones. Once that happens, if it's unfortunately allowed, and it probably will be, it's not hard to see people eventually not being allowed to drive themselves. The insurance industry will say due to statistics that say most people aren't paying attention to the road and their driving, and they're not, it's safer to have the vehicles drive themselves. Good bye human controls, you just get in, punch in a destination, sit back, and go.

27. If it's a true plug and play swap for any LS vehicle it's gonna be an awesome option for an old Corvette C5. Easy and affordable way to build a beautiful 700+hp car that you can use as a daily driver. I mean yeah I prefer V8s over anything, too – but it's still nice to have all kinds of options even if it's electric.
