I have the last three KOTS video's and I'm pre-ordering this one….right now. Anyway I can get like a frequent buyer discount ? lol.
The end of the track is when you're going the fastest, so if at that point you're out of control and going towards the wall, you're going into the wall. Being wider wouldn't help that.
With a wider track you'd increase the chance of a head on impact with a high velocity perpendicular to the wall. I'd say a wider track would be less safe but it'd also result in less damaged cars.

KOTS, has no track prep, it is as close as you can get to really racing on the street, but it is legal.
Why do drag strips have concrete going all the way down in a straight line. Wouldn't it be safer if the concrete wall widened out after the stands so that in an accident it isn't certain that every crash is a trip into the wall?
Glad i only live like 1 mile from GLD, i just wish randy would leave that place, and let a real owner run it, maybe GLD would be as good as it used to be then.
