Cars from the 80’s weren’t quite designed to tackle the challenge’s of going 200mph, but that doesn’t mean they can’t with enough modification! The Aero on an 1986 Toyota Supra isn’t exactly streamlined for top speed runs, however if you throw a 2JZ under the hood and enough supporting mods, who knows what you can achieve. Running at the Puerto Rico Half Mile at Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, these guys were determined to break that 200mph barrier!

  5. With a little better traction he could hit the 200mph mark easily!
    Don't forget that the mk3 is heavy like a tank 3800lbs old steel frame and body with a lot of stiff metal braces around, specially if it is a targa it has 4 pliers of steel on the side chassis rails. mk3s are very cool cars!

  11. I actually prefer the Mark III over the Mark IV Supras. Maybe I'm just weird but I like older imports, Mitsubishi Starion was badass, the older RX-7's when done right look pretty sweet too and my absolute favorite is probably the Datsun 240z. Slap a rocket bunny kit on one and it's like sex on wheels.

  13. People! It’s hard to to think or make an opinion about the car if you were not there, i was and it was insane. The old Supra was running for two consecutive days and i think it did around 30 passes spinning in all passes and when I say spinning I am talking about a car spinning over 100 mph and it was the craziest thing of the event because it almost crash in every single pass, without doubt the car has the potential to go over 200 mph easy but as you can tell the aero did not help, it is just a street wild car that the owner was having fun with his friends and Family.

  15. Impressively dangerous performance out of that thing haha gave me an adrenaline rush with how dangerous it was. I suppose it would be a clamping mechanism on the clutch master to slave steel braided line to quicken the clutch engagement when hot. Also needs much wider tires and I think it could use toe-out to stabilize but would need it on front & rear for stability and tighten up the front/ rear sway bar. Not to mention like 375s in the rear and 275s in the front. It needs to have flared wheel wells so that you can run wider than the body tires & look cool while doing it. Makes ya think about how narrow the supra is from the back side. Man that thing is crazy fast haha

  16. Puerto Rico's economy is in the shits. Just about all P.Ricans are feeling it. Hopefully when things get better, cars from here will break more records. Mo. Money, Mo Power.

  20. sad thing is that model of the mk3 supra is 1990. the last mk3 made. It came stock twin turbo 1jz if the badge is correct for the car you can Google the 2.5gt twin turbo R

  22. It can do a lot more, well over 200mph. The FASTEST MK3 Supra Turbo I've seen do is 240-250+mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MK4 Supra Turbo 270+mph fastest I seen yet.
