You are doing extremely well here mate, your work is very detail oriented and you pay the right amount of attention them those details and execute them very well. I have seen professionals not work as well as you. Being a mechanical fitter myself I find beauty in details and this build is beautiful.

Hey man, for the rear subframe you should weld the bolts to the plates instead of the nuts so you have a stud. This would make it easier to install the subframe correctly and then it would make it easier to secure the subframe as you will be less likely to cross thread the nuts
Yo tell your insurance that you've got 300k car enthusiasts that watch your shit daily, and that you'll put them on blast if they don't sort everything out. That could have a crazy impact on their branding

For the rear mount just put a pipe that the nut and socket would fit in and to seal it from water put a rubber plug in the tube so you still have easy access when you pull it out but it's also sealed

Here is how I would handle the 240Z issue with the insurance co. First, just get the replacement body. Don't wait until the you get the insurance to come to their senses. I would write them a certified letter that a functional body is a core requirement of your business and their solution would have a sever negative impact on your web site. Once you have purchased the replacement, let them know the cost. Inform them that they may keep the original when they re=reimburse you for the cost of the replacement. (And they can attempt to get it repaired if they think this is economically feasible for them.) They will either agree or disagree. Let them know that you have a youtube channel that you will publish the outcome of the claim, and that while you don;t want to generate negative publicity for them, they do have a responsibility to make you whole.
Remember the worst case situation in this scenario is you are going to be waiting for them to finally come to their senses and send you some money. You will be able to continue your project, and if they get stubborn you may get have some fun publicizing their incompetence. Remember how you dealt with Lotus. Companies HATE bad publicity. You are in the right. They ARE obligated to make you whole.

don't know if you're already aware of this but the rear sub-frame mounts that you welded on the chassis might need drain holes or someway to get rid of water that's going to get in to there 🙂

I feel your anger. My one month old car was hit, not my fault. His insurance paid for repairs and rent a car. The problem I had a 50k car and my rental was a sub compact POS stripped down Hyndai. I had to take it back from the collision shop to the rental agency, wait for their computers to boot up, then they wanted to clean it. After 45 min of waiting I was done. I had to keep this car for 3 weeks while my car was fixed. I also spent a couple of hours between the insurance company, collision shop estimate, and tire shop. You should be compensated for your time and inconvenience and be given an equal or better rental car.
