the floater is safer because no matter where the axle breaks that hub isnt coming off phantom. non floater an axle can break outside the bearing and bye bye wheel.

A floaters safer because you don’t loose the wheel when you break a axle (racing oval we’ve totaled multiple cars due to some classes not allowing floaters and breaking a axle and sending the car for a ride because the wheel no longer being where it belongs )
