G-day fella's Im from Australia and love watching what you do to vehicles. Have you ever built anything from Australia like an XW or XY falcon or even anything something from our BA, BF, FG range of turbo cars? Some guys from here have built their street cars to over 1000hp.
My channel involves rust repairs and restoring classic Aussie Built cars, im currently building an XW GT replica and an XY ute(or truck as you guys call them)
Definitely need to keep the rollback for when there is a bad crash you can go and pick a car up off of the track without having to drag it across the asphalt and mess it up.

I know there is a big block chevy it that rig. It is either the 366 or 427 tall deck truck engine. They were cammed for low end torque. If it is the tall deck, it has an extra .400 of an inch to the deck height. The extra height was made up with a taller piston and has an extra compression ring. You will be able to run that engine at wide open all day and it will not sweat. Cheers

im not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you look at the back of the tow truck you'll see the bar that is crooked. the reason the dune buggy is missing the windscreen is because it drove into the back of the tow truck one night at the races. the driver of the buggy wasn't paying attention and the tow truck came to a stop on the track. windscreen gone!

Get Chilton manuals on all the older stuff. We’ve always kept them around for our old trucks. They walk you through pretty much every aspect of maintenance and repair. They are super cheap as well. Also, I would like to see a 12-71 blower through the hood of the rollback. Just a thought.
