I bet you they didn't change the air filter on his car and let the flux capacitor overheat and flux too much and capacitate the G7-105 causing a internal alternator slip which resulted in the secret solution becoming too sperm rich! I've seen it happen over 12 times in my life! Just guys not taking care of their diesel chainsaws is what knocked them out of the glory !

Half the comments here suck, it sucks that mullet is down, but it can be fixed, furthermore Steve Morris is 1 hell of a dude, he takes time out of his own schedule and maintenance to visit cleetus and to take a look at mullet, even though Steve has 0 obligation to do so, Cleetus has gone past the warranty with the engine, and Steve being a kind dude still helps, Cleetus even states in the video it's no ones fault other than his "Foots", anyone who knows even an inkling about cars understands that when your running boost and rocketing the RPM to make passes, shit can happen, Steve doesn't build shit engines, hes not screwing over Cleetus and he still comes around to look at the engine, the guy takes pride in his work and you can tell, cool thing is, The engine isn't totaled, and can be fixed, just sucks it went down during the races, but looking forward to see it up and running again for next time

Can't help but think the problem with the o ring on the input shaft of the trans failing causing the loss of the lock up and the torque converter pushing to hard on the back of the crank may be related. Spliines may be bent, spacing wrong somewhere, its a tricky one. Good luck, desperately waiting to see how you fix it.

  9. I´m an expert youtube commenter with countless years of flawless 100% correct blame-positioning on my belt. And I can say, without a doubt, that it is the guys who first lengthened Mullet to accommodate the jet-engine and then shortened it back, who made this catastrophic amateurish mistake of making Mullet 2mm to short.. That´s why the crank gets mashed, mark my words!!

  10. with the low oil pressure might also be worth checking the oil pump for debris from broken valve spring, as Tom Bailey just had that with 2.0

  11. Even if that first pass counted, that motor was done. It’s a blessing in disguise that it broke at the track instead of on the road where there was no one to help out. Best of luck getting Mullet back rippin 6’s brother.
