  1. I know this is a older video but I'm just now seeing it. The only time I messed with tubes was when I was a Harley tech. And I used pretty much thr same process. I put baby powder in the tire, mounted 1 side, installed the tube and aired it up to get the wrinkles and and bunching out. Then I let the air out, installed the other bead and aired it back up a final time.

  2. I can understand the concept of shawn by doing what he talking about cause it takes the stress off the twist the tube cause of the location of the valve stem

  3. Pretty sure I think about this stuff the same way – go the extra mile if there's more consistency and insurance for potential problems. There's only 4 of these things keeping your triple digit MPH chassis that you're strapped into in contact with the ground, tires aren't a bad thing to waste a little extra time on. Nevermind that we're trying to maximize the amount of quality passes at the track too, if catching a wrinkle saves a pass from being a throw away, then it's worth it.

  4. Hey Sean….. as you give us the steps and tell us how you have to do yours is awesome. I love it. But the definition of OCD is exactly what’s happening each time you say “it might not be the right way or best way, but this is how I do it. This is how it has to be every time and if not or there’s a blemish I will start over. This make me happy and calm and relaxed” lol not being a dick. I’m EXACTLY the same. Not with everything in life. Just those certain things that mean most to us or are some how close to. I always said I’m not OCD either but in reality it is but the first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem…. Always remember your not alone. Come to the dark side🤣🤣🤣😳😳

  5. Sounds OCD, but that's the proper way to do bicycle tires too. Baby powder, partially inflate the tube, get the tube placed in the tire nice and relaxed, seat the tire, air it up, air it down, check how happy everything is, then air it up to final pressure. When you're going as fast as you go on a drag strip, or as fast as I go on a skinny little race bike, the last thing you want to worry about is a tube letting go because it chafed through.

  6. Love it he’s a good guy good driver I don’t have a race car the fastest I’ve ever been is around 200 on the street I was into motorcycles I raced back in the day had a mopar 68 GTS mildly built running in the lo 12s I thought that was bad ass in the early 70s lol but today you guys kill it…… love watching thanks Shawn
