TWIN 88mm Turbo Z28 Camaro @ SCT Nashville!

This BEAST of a car showed up at Street Car Takeover Nashville to makes some passes down the track – except there was nothing that kept up with it! This Camaro is packing two 88mm turbochargers powered by a 509 cubic inch engine under the hood. Check this thing out! Our favorite part about it was the twin fuel tank setup on it allowing him to cruise anywhere he wanted without issues, although we think it’s a little too far of a stretch to call it a ‘street car’, which is why he was in the unlimited class… thought he wasn’t scared to take the cruise for the street car class 🙂

  1. Sweet build! Love the car/chassis setup, and the Low Compression mild BBC with a TON of Turbo – SUPER sweet!
For that much HP and ultimately that much $$$, I'm not too impressed with 4.80s-4.90s…. but I am ABSOLUTELY NOT "that guy" that just trolls videos to talk shit and hate on people's stuff! I know what it takes to race at this level and the amount of money, time, commitment, and PASSION it steals from you, so I have NOTHING but love for ALL my fellow racers!
But "2,500" HP, Twin Turbo BIG Block, on Big Tire and 80+inch wheelie bar that wouldn't make the field for a 32 car, small tire, small block, street legal, (full interior) shootout, just feels like you've gotta be missing something in the tuneup somewhere.

On the other hand though, I did see where you said you do alot of street driving, have cupholders, and even has damn Power Windows, and cool stuff like that (and the 8 & half or 9:1 compression is "mild" in a practical way) – hell, compression that low, you can run pump gas and really be able to ENJOY the car without it ONLY being at high stress, high maintenance, high $$, events and shit like that!!!
Just an awesome setup overall, but you're not going to win any q8's or shootouts or any TS/ProMod races anytime soon, but its def absolutely a TON OF FUN !!!!

So like I said, please don't take my words as any kind of hate or troll-isms… sweet car! Much love!
    ANNDDDD…….

  2. Hey mrhazel really going 200 mph or 160mph is no difference at that speed it's all in god's hands at that point so don't try to justify that 1/8 mile is better for everyone cause that's a pussy statement everyone knows 1/4 mile is where it's at and they been doing it since muscle cars were created plus it shows more of what the car can really do compare to just driving 100 feet down the road I feel much safer going 160 than 200 really it sounds like you are not about what this sport is about

  3. idk if this is me being stupid but who else when we got the view inside the car thought that those where cup holders sitting on the trans tunnel

  4. I would like to thank 1320video for such a high quality video of my car. I was just there testing that day. I tried 23psi boost and ran in the 4.9's but was blowing through the converter so I turned it down to 20 psi and ran 4.8's. The car has a lot more left in it. 3 years ago I ran a 4.7 @ 157mph in the 1/8 and 193mph in the 1/4 mile (letting out 3 times due to lack of traction). I still need to work on the suspension tuning but I'm having fun regardless. This was my first year racing the car since 2011. I drive this on the street much more often then at the track. Thanks for your interest.
