Twin Turbo “ELEANOR” GT500 Mustang!

Gone in 60 seconds? More like gone in 6 seconds! While this 1967 Mustang GT500 isn’t the exact car from the movie, it is by far the quickest Fastback we’ve seen fly down the race track! What does it take to push this 3400lb beast down the 1/4 mile so quickly? A big-block ford motor assisted by some 88mm turbos… and the most impressive part of all? He’s running low/mid 6-seconds on DRAG RADIALS! Here’s his passes from the World Cup Finals at Maryland International Raceway’s IMPORT vs DOMESTIC race!

  1. a buddy of mine is giving me a shell of a 1968 mustang mach one fastback for letting him stay with me and I'm really excited about this build

  2. Wow a 7.41 et with a lift!! Cars got some serious hp and tq. What broke off during his last run? looked like a exhaust pipe or something?

  3. thats not eleanor. sorry but eleanor is a 1970's mustang mach 1 thats bright yellow with a 351 windsor. the original gone in 60 seconds was so much better than the remake, mostly because its real

  4. I want this car so bad. Everything I decided that I wanted in a drag car, this embodies my ideas. Put it on big tires and run it on the street for fun.

  5. If you play the vid at full screen 1080p at .25 slow-mo you can see something bouncing up and down like if it was attached to a u-joint from 2:082:13. Is it the drive shaft? Not sure but it sure "looks like it". Angle is too high to really see.
