I have a 04 Monte SS Dale Jr edition and I put down 401 hp with many mods. This car shares the same engine so I'm thinking it's bare bones stock. The 3800 series 2 with the supercharger is bullet proof and some simple mods like a 3.5 inch supercharger pulley and open up the exaust with a cold air system, this engine puts down 300 hp easy.
put a 2005 pontiac bonneville GXP and if you do it please give me a shout out

There's some real competition out there though. Mainly the ford taurus SHO and (I'll get shit for this I know) the cavalier sc, focus svt, beretta GTZ, Chrysler conquest/Mitsubishi Starion, proge gt turbo/mazda mx-6 gt turbo, and even the old 1.9lHO Escort GT's run pretty good even by todays standards. Still slow compared to premium models of today but still able to trounce 90% of the pedestrian appliances the masses love to call "cars". lol
With a little bit of cash and a new supercharger those motors will kick ass. The best sleepers are Buicks…
