  1. Hey, please don't give your dog the chance to look at the weld glow. He can go blind just like you can. Give him welding doggles.

  2. One thing we used to do on kickups ike that was use a slightly wider piece of steel and cut it so the ends fit OVER the existing rail. This game us double thickness on the vertical walls. A holesaw cutout on the new piece let us weld inside the circle and it was incredibly strong and very stiff. Only the vertical walls really transfer weight and/or force anyways. Still looks really good though.

  3. Still think that an O shape touching the sides would have been the better option. With this double L in the back and its 90degrees its not more sturdy. The O shape would have had the benefit of giving more space in the inner area in height and have a direct impact safety measure for side impacts…

  4. i don’t wanna tell you this but it’s beginning to be known throughout the world that the america is truly the land of extreme. while there are billionaires in their twenties, a large percentage feels they are lucky to have jobs because many really don’t. they live at mothers houses and tell others how things are supposed to be done in the internet. completely make sense because all they have is freedom of speech.
they have no idea but they are telling the world that they have nothing and they have done nothing. because people who have done something knows there is nothing more upsetting than people minding other people’s business.
people who has nothing, done nothing and thought nothing. that’s increasingly becoming the image of americans. try minding your own business, huh?

  5. Impressive build. You are going to get a huge stress concentration, you should add boxed gusseting to the corners.

  6. I had that same band saw for years. Getting it to cut straight is an art, but you start by adjusting the two pinch rollers on each arm to 1 thou larger than the blade thickness, then use a small engineer's square on the vice bead to get the blade vertical.

  7. What did you planned for the transmission shaft ? Looks like the level between gearbox and the differential is too different and the angle is screwed. Keep going!

  8. Fuck yea man! This is the kinda video I personally wanted, sometimes it's better to watch the work and be able to focus on the process, rather then take breaks and explain in the middle, keep doing you, and when it's all said and done, you'll have a 1 off machine built by B

  9. Always freaks me out to see a dog around when welding. They don't know not to look at the weld. You will end up with a blind dog.

  10. Nice work. I don't know anything about metalwork, but are there no concerns that such two 90 degrees are weaker than the previous in terms of flexing and such?

  11. The amount of harbor freight shit tool you have is astounding. Don't get me wrong I'm all about buying three shit tools for the price of one name brand but damn they should sponsor you!

  12. Chassis work really puts a burden on budget tools. We're on our 3rd Eastwood tig welder in less than 1 yr after 1 frame chop, 1 FIA roll cage, and a lot of body work.

  13. I enjoyed the change of format. Wouldn't want that for every episode but it was nice to know that you are willing to change it up a bit to get back on schedule.

  14. Btw Chris I was thinking about what you said in the last video, that you want less talking and more timelapse/actual work footage. But I think you underestimate that your explanations and the goals you set yourself is why we are lovin your videos so much. Anybody can do timelapse but to explain shit that you yourself just learned that is entertainment

  15. So glad you are working through all the little isdues of sticking a HUGE engine in a small car. So exited to see how this one turns out. You need to get yourself and thus car to a track day.

  16. Doubling up is overkill but it's definitely a far better solution to what was there before, so glad you fixed it. Are you going to fix the front too?
