So the Corvette has a parking brake that’s operated by a little switch on the center console. I’ve always wondered what would happen if you pulled it while driving, so we turned on some cameras and found out! DO IT FOR DALE!

  1. Somewhere a village is missing its' idiot. There is no such thing as an 'emergency brake'. A park brake is only to hold a vehicle after it is stopped. Doing things such as this without knowing how the mechanism operates is ignorant and possibly dangerous to other drivers. It is a good thing you don't fly. And recording over engine noise is absurd.

  2. Try this in your new RV with the parking brake. Everyone use to think if you did this at 60 it would put you through the windshield. Am not going to say what will happen but you will be safe and nothing will be damaged,

  3. Interesting topic thank you so much for sharing. Hey like the manual and ur ride is awesome may God bless you with it. Wonder whats that behind is it a Nitro?

  4. It's totally stupid that it comes on at speed, just the same as when your stationary. It can be dangerous if you got a child sitting next to you, or a complete moron who pulls it up while your driving, as on some cars it will lock up your brakes, or it will be like a full on emergency stop skids or abs will be activated. On some cars you have to keep it pulled up and only then it will engage. Once you let go of the parking brake it will disengage which is alot better as it doesn't engage straight away at speed, you must keep the electronic brake pulled up for it to work.

  5. Did it on a 2018 jeep grand cherokee rental going 80. Just imagine slamming the brake pedal as hard as possible. Same effect. Front and rear applied.

  6. I have a 2021 Camaro SS 10 speed automatic. First, the parking brake also works like this in my car. Second, the automatic transmission is faster than the manual in my car by a half second or so!
It IS strange though. On a hill, letting off of the brake from a stop gives me a "Hill Start Assist" message, and the car doesn't roll forward, but simply sits at 0, like it is a manual.

  7. Said I read up on it but then in the next sentence says I have no clue what will happen.
So which is it. If you read up on it then you knew exactly what would happen. Or you really did not know and lied about reading up.
