  1. Excellent video. Is there any cabin filter better than others you could recommend, or are they all about the same. Is there one with a fresh scent to it? Thank you in advance.

  2. Thank you so much for uploading this video! I replaced my cabin filter didn't take me longer than 10 minutes. You are a godsend and people will write songs about you! The Lexus dealership charged me about three times the price the last time I changed my cabin filter. Thanks again!

  3. You inserted filter in wrong position!!!!! You have fins/ribs running north to south….when you took out other filter they were running East to west?????? Unless a different type of filter???

  4. I'll have to change my filter since I put it in the wrong way up lol other videos on YouTube make the same mistake as I did.

  5. There's another filter that's under the windshield wipers that's actually the one i was looking for i already did this one but good video thanks

  6. The cabin air filter in our 2001 Lexus es300 is not located behind the glove compartment. It is located in front of the console on the floor, next to the accelerator pedal.

  7. I want to add that on some lexus vehicles in order to remove the cabin filter you have to switch the air switch from fresh air to recirculation. if you try to manually open it you will cost yourself $1500 as I have learned the hard way. A manager of mine and me both lost our bonus money because we did not know about this at the time. That part of the HVAC had to be replaced because there is a plastic gear that controls the door when you switch it. I cant remember which one but you will know it when you see it if you ever come across one.

  8. I have change, alot of of cabin air filters, I have notice the European car all have cabin air filter. I have a ford and a chrysler vehicle, they do not have cabin air filter.
    why is that?.

  9. Hey Eric. You are turning the plastic pin counterclockwise (not clockwise as you stated) on the right side. Makes sense as this pin is facing the opposite way compared to the left side.

  10. @EricTheCarGuy If you want a real challenge, do a video on a 6th gen Honda Accord cabin air filter. I only changed the filter twice in 80k miles on my 02 V6 coupe because, well, I'm sure you know how ridiculous it is to replace.

  11. It's interesting to watch the evolution of cabin filter assembly design.
Why there's a screw? Why are locks there? Why so many parts?- they thought.
Next generation cars just have to push, pull and it's done…

  12. Gonna have to check if 2002 5 door corolla has the 2 lock pins at the back of the box, i just used a bit of force and thought that it should snap out and in.

  13. Seeing these videos reminds one that it doesn't matter what car you buy, everything is designed in the same office. Same dampener position, relatively the same filter position (with that one exception, which differed completely from the norm, for those that have seen all the videos), same button position.
