  1. Thank you SO much for making that a short and sweet, easy to follow video. I am not a car guy at all, but you made that so simple. I think I can handle doing this on my own with no problems. 🙂

  2. Omg I have an 05’ with only 80,000 and I’m learning to do my own maintenance lol thanks for saving me probably $500 👍🏼 I can do that.

  3. Just came across this video n my question is out of the subject but since u have or had an Element n there's really no videos on my question maybe u can help or anyone!
I just bought an Element but I can't open any of my doors with the key not I can't find a way to open the rear door from inside. Any tips, help or something that can fix this issue?
Also the abs light is on and everytime I drive it there's a cluncking noise coming from the rear tires area like if the emergency brake was on but is not at all but yet I get the light on the dash saying is on but again is not, anyone?
    Thanks y'all!

  4. thanks for this video my wifes ac stopped working alltogether i pulled these filters and bam started blowing and running just fine..lol i can finally get my car back and return some ac parts

  5. HI How can I improve gas milage in my 2003 honda element? I get about 20MPG. I do oil changes on time, I have replaced air filter and cabin filter, and Gas cap. I drive mostly in the streets,

  6. Hi Ereck, I need to check the air bags, I can not remove the warning light, I do not recognize the airbags… I saw some tutorials, but I can not make them recognize the air bags… My head hurts !!! 😠

  7. Hi Eric ! Love your videos ! In this one you look pretty tired or high as fuck LOL ! Youre eyes are bloodshot !

  8. I didn't read the instructions and didn't know the other half of the filter was still in there when I replaced the left filter a year ago. This time I was in there to replace it I saw the second half. Holy cow! It's clear from the amount of garbage that it's likely never been replaced because everyone made the same mistake I made and forgot there was more… So much junk in that right filter there was no flow. (I think cabin air filters are the best thing since beer.)

Also, the activated carbon filters, as you used, are somewhat better and I'm trying to figure out a way to demonstrate their value but I don't have a $50k gas analyzers at my immediately disposal.

BTW, Eric, you make great videos compared to most of the other internet geniuses. Just the other day I watched your video on the hood release cable and it helped tremendously with finding all those silly, little clips (that always break.) You help anyone who has a problem with their car. The more knowledge they have the better they are able to do it themselves or intelligently have someone else do it and not get ripped off. I'm fairly experienced in working with most cars but Hondas are new to me and especially the Element.

    Keep up the good work.

  9. If you ever think, "I wonder if my cabin air filter needs to be changed?", the answer is always YES. Ugh. I'm the second owner and don't think this was ever done! Thank you! Thank you.

  10. Thank you thank you thank you!! I watched this video on a whim & then went by Advance Auto on my way home from work & picked up filters & some light bulbs to do some quickie maintenance. I feel so good now that I’ve given my E some love! You make every job seem so easy, but this one is a no-brainer. I’ll NEVER pay for someone to do it again!!

  11. I seriously wonder why there is a group of boneheads that give this video a Thumbs Down? Only thing I can think of is it workers from Stealerships who don't want this info given out. Or it could be a bunch of jealous sissies who don't like their there pretty boy soft hands dirty.

  12. Thank you for helping scrubs like me not be at the mercy of dealerships and their ripoff prices for easy, routine stuff like this. A very good and helpful video.

  13. Great video. I first watched somebody else's and I took out my filter;  then I went and bought the filters (under $20) and there were two in the box which made me curious so I went back online and found your video which clearly shows that there are two cartridges to change.  The other guy's video didn't!  Thanks, Eric.  Great instructions — the job was a snap — took around 15 minutes total.  Saved a lot of money by doing it myself (with your help)!

  14. Hi EricI like your videos they help me a great deal and easy to follow so thanks. Do you have one on the PCV valve for the 204 Honda Element? Thanks

  15. Hi Eric, Ive had a 2006 Impala for over 6 months now. So far Ive replaced the starter, alternator, transmission(rebuilt), and battery. Every so often when I try to start it I just get a clicking sound and nothing else. Jumping it wont do anything but after trying a few times it starts up. Also the windshield washer goes off by itself and Im at my wits end on this car and I may get rid of it if I can

  16. Brings me back to when I had a Honda Element the dealer wants like 80$ to change them so I went to the auto part store and buy them for 20$ and I did it a few times I had put over 67k miles on it when I got rid of it

  17. I love that you have a car just like mine! I love my Honda Element & I am learning all kinds of stuff about it from you. I will be changing the cabin filters soon. Thanks Eric!

  18. Eric forgot to mention that changing the cabin air filters in 2001-2005 Honda Civics is very similar. Empty the contents of the glove box, pop off the glove box stops, and let the glove box swing down. With the glove box out of the way, you will see that the cabin air filters are positioned the same as the Element.

  19. They screwed up Eric not accepting your instructional video. I don't even have a cabin filter in my Expedition and your video makes me want to buy one. Keep making those repair videos.
