  2. I did it with my auto. You can tell the difference. Went thru bottom of car to access bottom bolt. Didn't have to remove j pipe for top but cut the washers for top
    My benz takes off

  3. it's not compressor surge

    it is the air spinning backwards in the turbocharger

    compressor surge occurs during boost when air is moving past the compressor blades and escaping back out through the rear of the compressor ON BOOST

    the flutter is simply the air moving in vacuum in the opposite direction with enough PSI force of the boost setting

    lots of division on this subject HAHA

  5. As a mechanic and being around turbos since the early 90s compressor surge "can" cause turbo issues but it's more seal damage causing oil leaks. They can cause a seizure but it's gotta be a very very hot turbo and it's usually the heat causing more damage. The U.S. ricer communities are the ones who like blow off valves since they would put a external bell to sound like an air horn. Race cars building tons of boost ran recirculating blow off valves and they keep the turns in spool the noisy bov is the Honda Civic crowd.

  6. NICOLE'S GAUGES ARE LIKE MINE THE FAMN MPH DOESN'T WORK! I already plugged in and checked connection to the speed sensor on the transmission! Does anyone know if it is just somethin wrong with the cluster? Do I need a new cluster?

  7. I had the same problem with PayPal. Even though I'm an adult now, my account is still frozen. I am very displeased with PayPal and I don't even try to fight it because there wasn't too much money in there anyway. I doubt I'll ever do business with them again either. I don't like their customer service or the way they do certain things.

  9. Just put a spring from a drum brake on the wastegate to the turbo. What you can do is make a sheet piece and put it on the wastegate rod then take a bolt and make a hole in the top and put 2 nuts on it. That way you can reglate the boost. The wastegate will open slower wich gives an even boost and it will also shut the wastegate fast so you get the boost back faster

  10. compressor surge is an entirely different thing (eg surging while the car is under load/accelerating) beyond that the dose/SUuutuutu isn't found to be harmful on turbos in general, unless its got a significantly small axle etc. unless maybe running horrendously high boost pressure, I guess..?
