Built SR20DET Install & First Start

Finished up little odds and ends on the engine and dropped it in! A few little kinks to work out, but it should be good and ready to tune in no time!

  1. Between work and money I kinda gave up on my s13 here and there. Seeing your videos gets me pumped to get my shtuff together and get my car done.

  2. Valve overlap isn't going to change compression. The valves are both closed on the compression stroke. If they weren't you would have 0 on the compression gauge. He says a lot of things that aren't true. The h beam rod is for strength not oil deflection etc.

  3. Yo big boost you do a dam fanominal job bro to perfection, you should do my car dam. But seriously brotha amazing job I love the way you work, anyone would be lucky to have you work on there car for reals.

  4. Bro you should put a oil on the compunction chamber before you run the engine just run it with the starter for a while and don't let him ignite…… But that's a good work….

  5. Alberto is my man!!! I’d by a t-shirt with his head and fist on it like how he said big boost at the end!!!

  6. 120 psi with cams and low compression is right on the mark. 170 + psi is 10/1 if your over 200 psi time for aviation fuel all motor. nice films. the team your working with are top notch =) note I work on engines near 5230 feet above sea level.

  7. Hey guys I like what u r doing I'm excited for your build cuz I have seen u drift. The reason we copper coat the gasket especially the head gasket is cuz of better heat dissipation n transfer between the head n block n vice versa. Also watch the thickness of the head gasket u use cuz it might cuz low compression as u r experiencing cuz the quench area might be large n eventually depending on the fuel u use cause a knock. Again thank you for what u r doing your mechanic is great at what he's doing

  8. First. Disconnect the crank sensor or the injectors. So no fuel is in the chamber. Second. Charged that fucking battery. That engine is turning over slow as fuck. Third. You crank the engine 5 to 7 times with a wide open throttle. You might get a more accurate result on your compression test.
