Eric finally found someone he can wrap his lips around lol
hey man you know of a good place where i can get the ASE review book? I'm studying to become a mechanic down in Puerto Rico and moving back up to Florida when i finish in October. I've searched all corners of this island and it seems all the ones they got here are either outdated or way too pricey.
to the guy with the mazda with the starting issue…might be heat soak to the starter. Don't know that engine specifically but some mazdas and fords share engine technology and the 2.5 that is based off the 2.3l ford engine has the starter near the exhaust manifold. Eric please confirm my thoughts on this.
I have a question.. I have a pt cruiser with 167k that I want turbo / super is milage too high out. Or can I go turbo it well maintained enigne.
Please visit my channel !
What is the attachment that Eric always uses on his Die-grinder? It's like a flat sandpaper attachment, he uses it to buzz away rust and smooth surfaces.
so I have a 78 chevy caprice wagon and it wont go past 45 mph. It feels like the engine hits a wall It climbs and climbs and just stops climbing once I reach 45. Also at that point the engine wont rev. I was told the kickdown cable needed adjustment and when I checked the cable is really loose and a little frayed. My question is is that a symptom of a bad KD cable?
Hey Eric forgot say Superchargers Cause Horsepower to run
Eric, I also wan't to tell you that all of your videos are fanominal!!! I had a question about SK tools, Do you have any SK tools, and if so do you like them? or are Snap On, and Mac tools better, and other names?
Thanks
Alex Hutton.
Please do more old school repair video's, its all ETCG1 and "Answering Questions". That's not what got your fans in the beginning.
First unresponded response!!!
3:43 -I LOL'd at the "part of it's fuel system now"..good thing it isn't a diesel engine.
~31:00 – For the guy with the gauge issues,Also check the grounds and engine/body ground straps!
Watch Scott Kilmer he answers you tube questions, with 44 years experience
He's not answering you tube??? Then why even post on here
thanks Eric. enjoyed greatly. keep up the good work
oh Eric answered my question first.
New webcam and/or better internet please? Your long videos would upload faster 😉
At least if the vehicle is going through 1/2 quart per week, he won't have to worry about changing the oil every 5k miles….
Can I just visit your garage instead of your forum?
@shark 626
I had that exact problem. Leaking injectors. Check that too
Thanks alot man! I'll look into the suggestions.
And Yes you're invited to the caribbean to fix the car lol
@EricTheCarGuy Twincharging, something Volkswagen has used in Europe with good success in their smaller I4 and VR5 (yes, 5, not a typo. VR6 with a cylinder cut off), isn't twin superchargers; it's having both a turbocharger and a supercharger installed.
As for twin supercharged… that's exactly what Aston Martin did in the 90's on the Virage-based V8 Vantage. It was good for 650 horsepower which doesn't sound like a lot today where you can walk into a Dodge dealer and buy 707hp for barely more than a mid level luxury sedan, but in '94, that figure was astronomical – for a short while, it was the most powerful production car ever made 🙂
Great Q&A video. Thanks!
