hi I have a 92 civic si with a 99 civic motor, car was running fine til motor mount bracket snapped off, fixed that and car was cranking but didn't start, changed spark plugs and fuel filter started up but wants to die if I don't hold gas, also when I press gas while cruising it loses power wants to shut off, what could it be? thanks in advance
I tend to find that vacuum pumps pull air in bast the bleeder threads and make it look like you still have air in the system. Pressure bleeders worked better for me.
can I point out Eric it right 100% start at the fluid and filter on the blazer! but I've seen the pressure stitches inside go bad and I seen the speed sensor cause that it's hard to say!
13:30 5.4L Triton. Gummed up throttle body ?
At 11:29, i would check to see if the throttle body is dirty. If i remember correctly, in 2004 the F-150s were fly by wire. As the throttle body gets dirty from mileage, the computer will gradually compensate for it by opening the throttle plate further at idle. After disconnecting the battery, the Keep Alive Memory will have been erased, forcing the computer to go back to its base throttle opening, which will cause the stalling, especially after engine warm up. hey eric i have a 94 dodge dakota 3.9 v6 with 291,781 miles and it runs pretty good when driving normal but when i (not saying stomp on the gas) get on the gas kinda hard from a complete stop, it will stall, it also takes a bit to get it back started if it does stall. yet if i am already moving and i push the gas to pass some one, it is perfectly fine. im not sure what is causing it.
For the which-oil-to-use case, google "oil wear test" and then click on the first link. It is a WordPress engineering journal written by a guy who actually wear-tested hundreds of oils and noted the lubrication breakdown PSI of each oil in it. Introduce some science into your life 🙂

CVT = continously variable transmission
Eric, changed battery in a 2001 Subaru Forester. Was told the comp[uter would recycle and everything woupd be ok….NOT….car will not start and security system needs restarting. What do i need to do?
@ 11:30 regarding the idle air control valve that seems to be a real common problem with the older f150s I had a 2002 f150 with the 5.4 v8 and whenever it was cold and you would put it in gear and then back in park the rpm would fluctuate from 1200 to 500 4 or 5 times then quit

don't know how things are on the 5.4 fords but idle issues on a 4.2 Trailblazer after disconnecting the battery are known to be a symptom of a dirty throttle body.
Disagree with the oil question, if you have a high mileage engine i think going from a 5-30 to a 10-40 is completely safe, but i'd say after like 150,000 miles.

This channel really boring lately
I have a 07 Chevy Cobalt SS that I bought used 3 years ago with a NA 2.4l ecotec 4 cylinder three years ago. It had 31000 miles and currently has 50200 miles. The engine has a good amount of power and I am not going to rice or tune it out. I've heard from some those cars are junk and others say they are good cars. To me, that car has been great. It hasn't given me any problems. Could be because I'm a little OCD when it come to maintaining it or that car is just a good car.

Crap, I keep forgetting, I'd need new lifters with new cams….good thing I don't plan on new cams on my build. I plan on blue printing everything. 🙂

Hey Eric. I have a 91 Honda Accord automatic. Since I bought the car last August the idle was always alittle rough. It went away above 900rpm. I researched and found it has an engine mount solenoid and that the solenoid is bad not allowing the engine mount to change the stiffness. And I can no longer get that part. Any ideas?
