1. This is mesmerizing…I like working on cars but don't have the right tools to make it look like as much "fun" as you.

You should of 100% put in a brand new metal heater hose coming off that thermostat housing, those eventually rust right by the thermostat housing connection, the pipe swells from rust and it causes the plastic housing joint to crack, causing almost complete loss of coolant and that is a bitch to replace without removing the intake manifold. I actually would have replaced all the heater and coolant hoses.

3. This is strange. I've been subscribed to you this whole time, but your last six videos did not show up in my feed. Looks like the corporate swine really don't want people learning how to work on their cars.

5. I didn't realize that an input shaft could use a pilot bushing. I mean, the flywheel is usually spinning at > 1K RPM. I would have figured that you'd always have to use some sort of needle bearing for the pilot bearing.

9. I have a question, I took my car to a mechanic for replacing brake pads and rotors. After that I needed brake booster replaced because I had soft brakes and the car would turn off at traffic lights. After they put in a brake booster, the brakes are still soft and it feels like everything is loose. My car drives like it’s 25 years old and I feel every bump and it shaky and just sounds bad with brakes grinding. Could they have taken my car for joy ride instead of test drive? I just feel like my car took a beating of some sort.

10. I did the same thing to my Element. Got a Japanese engine. But I had code P01720 System too rich. I read that the fuel injectors need to be swapped out for the American fuel injectors. The Japanese ones push a little bit more fuel. Not sure if that's correct but I swapped them out and the code is gone. Engine feels kind of weak when I push the pedal. Feels like I have to push the pedal down more than I should to get it go. Seems to be ok when the RPMs are higher. Not sure if you have ever had that issue?

17. I like the backing up demo @36:50 . Even after getting used to backup cameras, i've found that nothing feels more in control and comfortable than the old right hand around the passenger seat. It just works, and is the way I taught my daughter to do it.

18. I have a 2005 acura tl. I can't reset the oil life.. everytime I go to reset it doesn't do nothing.. when I plug my big code scanner up to it.. it does give me a code for cluster. Do I need a new cluster to fix problem?

22. Hi Eric, would this procedure of installing the engine be the same or similar on a CR-V? I have a 2005 and I'm thinking that this will be my future down the line if I keep it.

23. 10:45 Not really strange that the engines stopped in about the same place, It's a 4 cylinder so 25% chance it will stop in about the same place (compression stroke of the same cylinder) and that's assuming the engine shuts down immediately when the key is turned off and not after the key is turned off, the computer shuts the engine down after cylinder 4 fires, or something like that.

24. I'm not a mechanic by far. Just did my first engine swap in my 06 accord thanks to these videos and more from YouTube.
    But I can't understand under why people say dropping the engines vs pulling out the top is easier…… you have more control and do less work. Not arguing. But genuinely wanna know why its said to be easier.

29. For the airbag light just take some contact cleaner or something and spray it down inside your seat belt latch and fracture measured just do it on both I use a contact cleaner and lubricant I had that same nasty little airbag light and that solved the problem

32. I really don't know why, can't explain it but I don't like it when Eric uses that brake cleaner tank. Maybe I'm used to seeing Eric O of SMA using brake cleaner in a can. Weird I know.

35. Quick suggestion instead of using an old tire why not grab a couple of cheap furniture dollies from Wally's or Menard's? I paid like 14 bucks each for a few of them and it makes moving engines, transmissions, and stacks of wheels and tires around way easier and with a piece of 4×4 block or bricks your engine will sit level and fairly steady while you work on it

36. I have an airbag light with my hinda as well. If I troubleshot it right the inflator needs replaced. Also having the same issue when I turn on my ac. Looking forward to seeing a video on that one.

46. Tip for you Eric, when you leave a car on the lift after removing the motor/trans or both, mark the floor where you drop it so you have correct positioning for installation…speeds things up.
