Honda Pilot Transmission Fluid Change #maintenance

It’s been about 2 years since I installed the remanufactured transmission in my 2004 Honda Pilot. This is the first fluid change since I installed it. In this video I share with you the tools and procedures for changing and checking the fluid level in one of these Honda automatic transmissions.

  1. You might should mention draining the fluid from a Honda only removes about 1/3 of the fluid at any time. I don’t know why but that’s how Honda designed it. Must be the way to do it.

  2. Question about the transmission filter ? I know these have it cause the accords did its on top of the transmission but shouldn't that be changed too . Not many talk about that on these

  3. An actual 1/4 turn would be from completely vertical to your handle being completely horizontal- which is quite a long ways. You only turned it about an 1/8th or even a 1/10th of a turn.. which is all you need.
