How To Pull a Honda Headlight #Salvage Yard Hacks

In order to remove the headlights on most Hondas, you need to remove the front bumper. Here’s a link to a video about how to do that.

Outside of that, the operation is pretty straightforward. You may have a little trouble with the electrical connections. A 10mm socket is all you’ll likely need.

If you’re not familiar with Pull-A-Part, they’re a self service salvage company in the US. They have 25 yards in 12 states. I’m not just saying this, but they’ve become my favorite place to go for salvage parts. I suggest you check them out.

  1. That is a good tip about removing the bulb holder before trying to remove the wiring plug. Can be very easy to damage the holder if you pull on it too hard or in the wrong direction.

  2. One thing worth mentioning Eric, if you remove the globes from the headlight unit to make disconnecting the plugs easier make sure that you don't touch the globes with your hands, the oils in you skin or alternatively any grease/grime on your gloves can ruin the globe, might not be a huge issue when pulling parts in a junkyard but when working on your own car it can save you having to buy new globes.

  3. First of all love your show and what you do, but when are we going to get longer videos? Recently they have been less then 5 minutes… I want to know what happening with the car you building.
