Eric, you just RUINED the threads! Next time, quench the nut and bolt with water and have them nice and cold BEFORE you ever put on a wrench. The water shocks loose all the rust and turns it into a fine powder. This “Heat and Quench” method saves a lot of time and expense. Water is your best lubricant while turning the wrench.

should you wait for the bolt to not be red hot before turning it? I feel like when its that hot its easy to round it off since its soft.
hey Eric, would you do a video on chevy HHR rear cradle bolts just spinning and not coming out. the nut is in the frame and cant be locked! big problem on many cars, but my HHR cradle bolts spin, cant fix control arms. thanks, rick

Hello Eric and great job. One of the worst things about working on exhaust systems is having to replace them again every three to four years. Sometime, can you go over the different options in exhaust system components as far as the different quality and their life? Thanks.
Yea Red wrench!!! When you have one available it is a mechanics dream and it sure was mine. Now I suffer and waste days to loosen and cut old parts. I lost a get friend and I lost a great wrench as the man had everything

Some additional notes with acetylene. At 15 PSI it is highly explosive. Inside the acetylene tank the gas is in acetone (if I remember correctly). If the tanks is stored or transported on it's side, wait at least 30 minutes before using the acetylene. This allows everything to settle down.
