I bought this wrecked, totaled, and very cheap Volkswagen Phaeton at the salvage auction. This car is very similar to the Bentley Continental Flying Spur and the Audi A8. When it was picked up, it was damaged at the auction likely by a forklift driver. We get the majority of the body damage repaired, and begin this rebuild project, but I’m not sure I want to finish this VW. Needless to say I sold it in very short order…

Its not rare though. Tons of them are for sale for 2000-4000€. Trash car that no one buys.
I'd have it over a Merc or BMW. Real pity about that very nasty dent , makes you wonder about hired hands, either careless or worse.
In future ask the the car transporter guy to send pictures of the vehicle BEFORE he loads it. It's that much harder to negotiate once
you have taken possession of it. Sam said that fifty percent of his issues remain unresolved.

I saw one of these in Australia years ago when they would have been new. The w12 sounded amazing. I have never seen one since.
