The reality is that you can make the Jetta faster than the S3 with less than $2,000 like mine, so the comparison is decent

The S3 isn’t even close to the A3. Different price, different tune, different power. If you’re gonna say you’re comparing an A3 to a Jetta (which would be a more fair comparison) actually use an A3.

Sorry, after having owned a 2014 2.0 R-Line Turbo Beetle and now an A3, there is a huge difference between VW and Audi. The Audi is much more comfortable, and even with the same engine, the performance is so much better. The reliability difference is huge too. I had that Beetle in the shop repeatedly for problems with the frameless windows, the keyless entry, you name it, that thing was at the dealership a lot. I knew I couldn't keep it past warrantee. I took the Bug back and my dealer suggested an A3.
Very good suggestion. Years later, I have not had one thing to complain about. Brilliant, fast, reliable car. Was it a little more money-wise? Yeah. But not that much more. Here's what I have spent on my 2015 A3 besides warrantee and AudiCare: $140 for an alignment.
That's it. I haven't even needed to use the factory warrantee for anything. That's the difference you should be talking about. That's what makes Audis worth the money.

The 2.0t engine is junk. Don’t think this dude knows the definition of quick. A 3500lb car with 200hp is not fast.
There is a world of difference between quality and craftsmanship between the two. Not really comparable. Like comparing a Toyota and Hyundai simply because they are both Asian.
But they both carry the same blood (same creator )
The RS3 is the top A3 model.
