Jerry Picks Up the Nissan -Fixing it Forward

We’ve finally reached the conclusion of the 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R repairs and Jerry has come to pick up his car. There are a few loose ends that need to be tied up at the beginning of the video, but it concludes with Jerry driving his freshly repaired car home. He was very happy, and I was too.

As I’ve said on forums and newsletters, I’m going to take a break from the Fixing it Forward project for a little while to regroup and revamp the program. I also need time to work on the Fairmont. This means it will be a few months before you see anymore Fixing it Forward videos, but when they come back, I hope they’re better than ever.

  1. good day sir Eric, i would like to ask how you repair a nissan sentra GS 2004 just like mine that over heating, i already replace the: thermostat, thermo-switch, radiator hoses/ upper, lower, radiator as well back in stock alum-plastic? i hopewe you will answer me sir Eric? im allan jay palomique from manila, philippines….

  2. Eric, where did you get that engine sound at the end of this video? It sounds a lot like the engine that was in the mustang when you took it for a drive. I think it is the perfect ending to your videos!!

  3. The charcoal canister came with a cover hence the rusted brackets on the sides. That valve is a common failure, they made a better one that is half metal and doesn't fail. I replaced the one on my sons 04spec v with the updated piece

  4. Eric, thank you so much for helping this man and myself out by making these videos and fixing that man's car. I own a Sentra myself as my first car and it's great to have videos with the exact same year. Idk if I could replace control arms myself, but I know how to check spark plugs for residual oil and I know not to get an aftermarket valve cover! My car burns oil at 115,000 and I think it is due to a bad o2 sensor and possibly a worn timing chain or a bad tensioner from what you were describing. It's good to know they can go the distance if they are maintained well.

  5. Love what you do with your channel, the time & energy you spend helping people out. I’ve watched hours of your content & have been enabled to properly perform much of my own maintenance on my vehicle thanks to you! Keep it up. 👍🏼

  6. Hi eric. I'm rebuilding a 2003 nissan altima 2.5s with engine QR25DE it's overheating and a con rod bearing is damage, what i gonna ask is i don't find a replacment for balancer shaft, even in nissan dealer. Is it okay to remove that. Because the balancer shaft bearing in damage and the housing or box is cracked.

  7. I would have serious problems putting all that time and effort into a 225K Nissan . If it were me, I would have found a used Toyota Camry, Corolla with 150-175K . It's just alot of time and resources for a 225k nissan . The owners response when driving it was AWESOME ! Great Video as always Eric. Love the vids and channel !

  8. It's hard to let go of my Ser spec v too that y I'm watching this lol thanks Eric you actually help me out more than any of the local mechanics
