When building custom vehicles, things don’t always go to plan. In this episode of the #ETCGDadsTruck series, I deal with some pretty serious issues and put the final touches on before dad drives the truck on the Hot Rod Power Tour 2019.

  1. If we build our own rides stuff like this happens eventually. We all have done stuff and wondered "why in the world did I do that?" Thanks for sharing Eric 👍👍

  2. It's only true dedication that gets you through these projects. I really admire how Eric shows and admits to his mistakes where others would simply edit their videos to suit. It's this honesty that makes him so popular.

  3. Now that you have both which do you like better? The proflo4 or the sniper? That might be a good video being there isn't a comp vid of those two

  4. So lucky you pulled the engine from the trans when you did! If that would have been run much longer, youd need a new transmission, and possibly engine!

  5. Hi Sir Eric. Sorry different topic. What will happen if I accidentally use 24 volts in jumpstarting my car? Aside from not working stereo and room lamp, my car seems OK but Im still worrying about the damage it caused to electronics parts.

  6. Nice recovery… 2hen adjusting the valves, I always do a 12 o'clock start position & end at 9 o'clock.. That leaves the lash you're looking for with a half turn, but insures you dont over adjust & flatten your cam lob… Nice work..👍

  7. It’s hard when you build something custom there’s always more issues than expected and it always takes longer and cost more but it looks super clean

  8. Once I hit a big pot hole really hard and and it jarred the factory dipstick loose, was I pissed!! Even the factory ones take very little effort to come loose and spew oil everywhere grrrrrrr

  9. I just scored myself a 1995 acura integra ls special edition, and I just did my front breaks, this car has abs. My abs is making a high pitch hissing noise, but I am not getting any codes or abs light. Breaks don't feel any different. How can I fix that, or reset the abs system to stop that noise. Or else I am going to remove the abs, fuse. Any thoughts?

  10. Eric this question is on the series of A/C issues, can the dye be added added with the oil, directly into the compressor and accumulator instead of thru the service ( yellow ) hose

  11. when you started it, the starter engagement sounded ruff. Then seeing the loose bolts 2+2. Very informative and fun to try to diagnose along with you. Great to see the truck coming together

  12. lack of proper ignition and fueling = non-seated rings and bad blow-by and etc etc etc. or flat cam lobes if non roller and not proper break in and OIL….

  13. so cylinder 7 never had the boot pushed on far enough to lock the spring clip on the plug or it's defective and possibly not held/rotated/squeezed to purge the air/vapor lock out and let it stay in place. the boot/silicone grease can cause enough pressure to "push them off" but what do I know 😉
