17. I completely agree with Adam on the whole bike thing, I myself live in Lakeland and there are so many rules not inforced at the Lakeland Bonnie skate park. We are constantly getting stopped by cops for riding street and threatened with destruction of property even when we don't grind anything. But when we explain to the cops that we aren't allowed to ride the skate park I've even been told by them it's stupid, thing is, yes, bikes will do damage, but so do the little scooter kids throwing scooters around like bouncy balls, people slamming skate boards on coping or what have you cause they are pissed, team pain made the skate park and they make most all skate park to my knowledge universal to any sort of rider. Yes, bmx is starting to boom here in Lakeland but this is also a year after this video and we don't have much to advance on because all we have is street and nearly if not do, get arrested everytime

19. lol the insurance reason is just an excuse. Literally a skatepark was built here like 2 years ago that only allowed skateboards and scooters. Kids would ride their bikes there still and get kicked out multiple times a day but after awhile the mayor of the city changed the rules and now you can bike there. Just goes to show that if enough people wanna bike and complain things CAN happen in your favor!

39. When the City of Lakeland was planning the construction of the park back in 2012(ish) they held city meetings to plan the parks and no BMX riders showed up to make a case for allowing bikes.

    In the end, Team Pain designed the park for skateboards only.

    That's the story I was told by my dad, who has worked for the City of Lakeland for over 25 years, and at Fletcher Park at Lake Bonny for over 10 years.
