if you wanna save more weight they do make billet 2JZs. Very expensive option but you get a higher horsepower cap in the thousands 2500-3500 versus an iron block 2JZ pushing 1300-1500 on the high end.

Could you not get Johan to cut the plenum runners and make an angled cut to drop the plenum roughly 3º offset to lower the plenum itself to make room for the booster? Would it then take the space of the steering shaft or would it decrease performance of the plenum? Just an idea, I have no idea what the tradeoff to doing this might be.
