  1. This car worth more as it is then 100k USD. Only the hood worth more then 70k $. and the whole car will go more then 150k

  2. This is not well know about how to get a car dry. Put the car in a metal vapor barrier bag used for shipping military electronic equipment. Then put bags of desiccant all throughout the car and in the bag. Heat seal the bag and check it in a few days making sure that when you cut it open so you can reseal it again. You can then take all of the desiccant bags put them in an electric oven which you can buy used and recharge the desiccant. You can do this over and over until all of the moisture is completely removed from the car. Why do this because you can remove all of the moisture from the electronics without damaging them. As you said many of the electronic components aren't even made anymore. you can also recline all of the interior and no mold will regrow as you've just killed all of the spores.

  3. Hi Sam, I bought a 2008 Cayman S hurricane Harvey car that was both salvage flood and biohazard mold. We used filter masks and vinyl gloves to completely strip the interior and washed all the surfaces remaining with strong soap and fresh water. This car was fresh water flooded and sustained no corrosion damage at all. Each of the modules were disassembled, cleaned and reconnected. The mechanicals were serviced, the engine was turbo charged and the car caged and fitted with seats and harnesses. Since everything that was wet went in the dumpster we now have a 460hp full race car for pennies on the dollar.

I think it's a shame to waste flood cars just because they got wet if you can repurpose them. Wet diesel pickups make great farm trucks and the electronics are far more robust than most people think. You just have to spend the time to clean and dry it all before you activate them.

  4. slr hood new from mb 75.000 usd front bumper 15.785 usd rear bumper 9.750 usd slr brake rotors 11.000 each usd . slr brake caliper 20.000 for front 12.000 for rear "according to jay leno". rims without rubber used 1000 each usd plus tires that can cost 4 to 8.000 usd door shells 35.000 for the passenger side and 42.655 for the drivers side usd. wind screen 9.000 usd .
boot lid 12.565 usd .as a parts car even at 100.000 is still worth it even with these problems .

  5. The orange line on the top of the car is the water line. That car was completely submerged and sad to say it's probably just a parts car or non operable movie prop.

  6. These videos are great. I just started buying salvage motorcycles to repair as a hobby. There is an easier time getting used parts at a lower price vs cars.
