After several days, dozens of hours, and thousands of dollars invested into the Range Rover Supercharged Engine Rebuild, and we started it; and it’s still out of time. I performed multiple tests to see how broken it is, and if we sustained any additional valve damage; and I find a major surprise along the way… Maybe its time for me to stop buying Land Rovers

  1. Sam. It was painful see in you and your friend working in this Range Rover. Nex time lift the body of the chassis it's the proper way to work in this car.

  2. The best range rover is the classic. The new ones are a nightmare. The old ones were easier to repair for average petrol head. Now i would not touch them, its not he engine per say but the electronics that are prone to breaking and hard to find and solve

  3. My motto that I originated years ago as an aircraft mechanic… "(If you) Hurry up… (You) Fuck up".
Take your time, double (Or triple) check everything, do not let outside distractions (Women, food, beer, etc.) or outside pressures (Owners, pilots, schedules, FILMING, etc) cause you to hurry up… and fuck up.
It is not that big of a deal on automobiles, it is a REALLY big deal on aircraft. I have long ago gotten into the habit of doing things right the first time. When I was working on aircraft it was because lives(especially my own) were on the line. Now it is simply because I HATE doing a job twice.

  4. Moral of the story, do not buy a used Range Rover no matter how cheap it is. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

  5. The constant product placement is so irritating I suppose there’s always somebody gullible to take it in .
The world loves land rovers because they are so good and every manufacturers want to copy them . You manage to find a couple that went wrong .

  6. Everywhere I go, in the area of Los Angeles where I live, I see the Range Rovers being driven by the folks who drive them for basically one reason only…to make folks think they have money and can afford to pay lots of money for poor quality.

  7. 100,000 new people think they are getting a good deal on used ones, till it all starts to fail miserably and your limping home like a 3 legged horse, most take it back to the dealership for work then your at the bank taking out a sizable loan, the older ones are a bit more reliable and realistic in part prices. Good luck and a hard lesson learned.

  8. I cannot believe you manage to keep track of the thousand million parts and all the different nuts and bolts. Taking off a door panel to fix a window motor, every screw was a different length , crappy plastic bits to fit them into , clips that break , god send your wrath down on car design era!

  9. If you have a 500hp car which goes into Limp Mode, don't you just end up with an ordinary car? Or one that goes twice as fast as mine at lest?

  10. Are you sure they placed the intake cam on the intake and exhaust cam on the exhaust side of the head is there a difference 🤝🤙🙏 peace
