1. My Honda Accord has a dipstick wiper fluid cap. It makes me sigh every time I check it. You can literally see the entire reservoir from too to bottom. It makes me chuckle at least. Great video as always

HI, Eric please help me I have a Chevrolet P30 6.2 diesel 3-speed transmission when picking up speed in third gear on a straight road or up I press the pedal very slowly and the transmission immediately switches to second speed, I don’t want to accelerate at a third speed only when moving down, please help if you know and want, thanks!

10. What did you mean when you said most cars have to be on when you check the transmission fluid but Honda so does the Honda have to be on when you check the fliud transmission fluid

19. Good idea to also check gear oil level and condition in front/rear differentials, transfer case (4wd). Just changed mine out and it was black and sludgy (2006 Toyota Matrix 4wd, 62k miles). No mention changing it out in manual. Dealer says gear oil is good for life of the vehicle. SMH.

20. When working around a running engine, make sure not to wear loose clothing or long necklaces, etc. These can get caught by spinning . pulleys/drive belt.

23. Possible fluids found in vehicles are Engine oil, Power steering fluid, Transmission fluid,  Refridgerant, Battery acid. Washer fluid, Grease, Coolant (engine, super charger), Gear oil (Differential, Transmission), and Brake fluid (Brakes, Clutch).
    I say POSSIBLE because all vehicles have different combinations of these fluids the exception being engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, brake fluid (for the brakes) and gear oil (for the differential).

31. Hi Eric I love the videos. I have a 1999 Volkswagen Golf with a so-called sealed transmission. how do I check the fluid and change it? I know there has to be a way. its been shifting kinda funny. I've only have this car about a month and I'm pretty sure the previous owner didn't take care of it. any help would be appreciated thank you

37. This could mean a fuel or coolant leak into the oil system. This can trash your engine – be aware! Especially if the oil level is rising. If you have a diesel, you may get a runaway – very funny (not if it's your car).

38. I had my car serviced in an established garage in France (it's called Norauto), oil + oil filter. it's been 6 months now and my oil level is WAY UP after the max mark. I didn't have any problem – more than 1500 km now !

42. i did bad i added red and green coolant when my car needed some is that worse than none or water

43. on some newer Audi vehicles the dealership will actually have a "magic dipstick" used to check the oil level because, well, they don't have an engine oil dipstick. not that anyone who owns an Audi does their own maintenance….
